Brenham Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association

Welcome to our newest Brenham Police Officers

Meet Officer Mark Pierce

Although he is the newest to the Brenham Police Department, Mark Pierce has lived in Washington County for almost 10 years. Born April 7, 1969 in LaRose, LA, Mark moved here in 1998. In that time he has graduated from college, moved away, came back, and       married. He went to work for Blue Bell but found that he was restless and decided to send himself to TEEX (Texas Engineering Extension Services). Upon graduation from the academy, Officer Pierce went to work for Brenham where he says things are friendly and kept on the positive. On his first day of FTO with Cpl. Jason Derek, Mark participated in a foot pursuit and assisted with the arrest.

On his days off Pierce likes to hunt and fish, and spend time with his wife and 1 year old daughter. As far as advice for people going into law enforcement, Officer Pierce says this; “Keep an open mind and use your learning to incorporate self discipline into your life because it doesn’t end when the academy ends.”  We Welcome Officer Mark Pierce!
